Ongoing: Our Mandarin Private Tutoring Program!

Greetings!

Thank you for choosing cValley Global Chinese Conversation Program! If you would like to continue with our tutors during the semester for extra Mandarin practice for your children, please sign up to our tutoring program using this link (click on the embedded link).

New clients will receive two free tutoring sessions at 30 min each over a span of two weeks. If you are happy with the program you can engage in ongoing tutoring at a rate of $25 CAD per hour. Existing clients who refer a friend to the program may qualify for free tutoring services through our Referral Program.

Our process and expectations are as follows:

CLASSES AND RATE

• The charge rate is $25 CAD / 1 hour. Scheduling is flexible and negotiable. If you would like to have multiple lessons, or to individualize session length, please indicate on the sign up form, or email us at info@cvalleyglobal.org.

TUTORING SESSION LOGISTICS

• All of our online conversation meetings are standardized using Zoom Meetings (North America) or Skype (China) depending on the country your tutor is located.

• After filling out the form, we will pair the student up with a tutor based on the student’s preferred English fluency level, the student’s Mandarin speaking skill level and the tutor’s availabilities. We will send you an email containing your tutor's background information, contact information, and a Zoom/Skype invite to your first session.

  • For tutors located in China, the time availability will be before 9 AM or after 6 PM (MT)

  • For tutors located in North America, the time availability is flexible and negotiable based on individual time preference.

• One of our organizers will be sitting in on the first session to facilitate introduction, watch for compatibility, and address any additional issues.

• After your first session, your tutor will organize future sessions by sending an email to you with their own Zoom/Skype invite. From then on, please directly contact your tutor (via email or text) if you have emergency scheduling, technical issues and/or special requests related to your child’s Mandarin tutoring session(s).

CANCEL AND RESCHEDULING

• Parents can contact Jingyi via her personal phone number if unable to contact their tutor, but please save her as a last resort.

• If you have requests for switching your tutor, and inquiries or suggestions with the program, feel free to send an email to info@cvalleyglobal.org

• To cancel your session, please contact your tutor directly 24 hours in advance to reschedule. To respect our tutor’s time and commitment, please miss no more than 3 scheduled lessons without cancelling 12 hours in advance.
